What our customers are saying about Heavenly Handspinning :o)

Hi Jan,

I just wanted you to know how much I have enjoyed my Vespera!  I love her!  She is beautiful, can go everywhere with me, and is enjoyed by many.  I have taught new spinners on her and they are saving for one now!
I love to ply on her too. Such wonderful bobbins make it a joy!
Thanks again for making such wonderful, affordable products!

It's extremely rare to find an affordable "made in USA" product that also has superior customer service.  Heavenly Handspinning has created unique, quality made spinning products that are not only highly functional, but also beautiful to behold.  Over the past several years, I've been blessed to try many of the  spinning wheels they make, my most favorite being the Navitas with the electric hybrid option.  The wheel has allowed me to create evenly spun yarns for use in hand made knitted products as well as yarns for resale, quickly and efficiently.  Five years ago, after losing our main income, this wheel allowed me to be a help meet to my husband, making clothing for our nine children as well as supplementing the household income by selling handspun yarns and custom spinning for a variety of customers, spinning just about anything from sheep wool, angora, alpaca, yak, cashmere, Alaskan Musk Ox and even Siberian Husky undercoat!  I've also been able to teach my three eldest daughters to spin, making wonderful memories that we will cherish forever.

Thank you, Richard and Jan, for making such lovely products that have brought such happiness and freedom into my home and treasured memories into our hearts!

Hi there!

Just over a year ago, I got one of your fabulous kick spindles for my birthday. I was very new to spinning, and was so excited to learn how to use it. I picked these gorgeous purple/blue rolags created by a friend and went to town. It was so much fun to watch my spinning become more consistent as I practiced. Everyone who has seen the kick spindle thinks it is beautiful and so much fun to watch and try. My 6 year old daughter wants to learn how to do everything mama does, so I'm going to teach her how to use it next. Anyway here are some pictures of my very first spinning project, entirely spun on my Heavenly Handspinning Kick Spindle! I still haven't decide what I'm actually going to knit with it, mind you, but I love it! :)

I bought my Stella secondhand, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The first owner stained and finished her so beautifully, and it's something I have no experience in. With a few minor adjustments, she spins smoothly and quietly. She's my first spinning wheel, and I'm keeping her forever. Looking back at my spinning experience with her, I truly appreciate her versatility. I was able to learn how to spin from super bulky art yarns to lace weight yarn, all on the same wheel.

Thank you for your hard work! I love my wheel.

Take care,
Shannin

I got a DT Stella and I love her. She is my first wheel. I love the craftsmanship on her and the smooth spinning. I had been watching your products for years and finally made my mind up and got her. I also got the lazy kate and 3 more bobbins. Its been a learning experience but I'm enjoying it every step of the way. Thank you so much.

In 2 years, I've only had one easily fixed issue with my Navitas wheel. I love that it was easy to set up straight out of the box, easy to maintain, looks beautiful, especially with a couple coats of stain and wax, and the bobbins are massive!  I've considered that, given the option, it might be nice to have a wooden wheel instead of the bike wheel, but those spokes are quite handy to get the wheel spinning the right direction with my toes. She spins beautifully, from laceweight to bulky, and the electric option is awesome.  I've never spun on another wheel and, unless maybe a double treadle Stella lands on my doorstep, I see no reason to.  She's perfect just the way she is.  I'd buy another one in a minute, and I've recommended both Navitas and Heavenly Handspinning to people in person and on Ravelry.  My only complaint is there are just not enough hours in the day to spin as much as I'd like.

I wanted to speak about my Vespera, this little guy goes with me where my larger wheels cant. Its tiny foot print and large bobbins make a great take along piece of equipment that I bring up to my parents house when we visit. I have spun lace weight to art yarn on this baby and love the steady rhythm of this e-spinner. And man is this baby durable My son who is 5 loves to spin with this and make his own yarn. My son has a fascination with anything that spins and this is the one tool that even he can use with little assistance from me. Spinning which started as a hobby has become so much more it is my mini vacation at the end of the day when my little guy is in the land of nod. Thank you for making such a wonderful product and so reasonably priced.

I've had my Stella nearly a year now.  She has taught me so much as my first wheel and continues to help me improve every time I use her.  As beautiful sitting in my studio as she is to spin.  I'm so glad I chose her after my long drawn out decision making and know we will have many happy years together.  I would highly recommend considering heavenly hand spinning both for their products and excellent customer service

I own a Navitas spinning wheel. I love it. I bought a Vespera as a back up but never used it so I re-homed it. The Navitas is able to be electric or treadled. Nice if the electric goes out or we take it on vacation. The Navitas spins the same as the Vespera. Both are easy and fast. The Navitas takes up more room than the Vespera {because it sits on the floor and the Vespera sits on a table)  but the Navitas is more suited for me.

I had one little problem and the Navitas motor quit working. I contacted Jan and was told it was probably the brushes. She sent me new brushes to try. It was a very simple fix. Unscew two screws in the motor, take out the old and put in the new. Instant fix. I have never had another problem with it.

The only thing I changed was to put cup hooks on it. I decided I liked them better than the wire that came with it. When I ordered, I had the choice between both. I have cup hooks on one side and the wire on the other, so I now have both.

I told my husband that the only thing that could improve it would be a little 'sucky' thing to suck up the lint and dust from spinning. He told me that I already had one. It's called a vacuum cleaner.

Not planning on replacing it. It's perfect for me.
