Heavenly Handspinning is very pleased to present to you: Navitas, which is Latin for energy. This very special one of kind wheel comes with a unique feature, use her as a single treadle spinning wheel or plug in her motor and use her as an electric spinner. The advantages are endless. This is one of the best travel wheels available. With Navitas you get the best of both worlds. There is not another wheel in the world that is a treadle/electric combo and the beautiful art deco front post design makes it one of the most beautiful as well.

I have many spinners comes to me and ask about one of our treadle wheels, but also really are interested in our electric. They want the experience of treadling a wheel but know that later they will want something that they can use to produce quality yarn quickly. The answer is now available in Navitas.

Just like all of Heavenly Handspinning wheels, Navitas is made of solid red oak. The best of the wheels out there are made of plywood but all of Heavenly Handspinning's wheels are solid oak. Each piece is hand selected by one person only. The person that will make your wheel, no assembly line. Navitas is made by someone that not only designed your wheel but is the maker of it as well. We are personally invested in your happiness in our products.

Navitas comes with an electronic foot controller, which allows you to start slowly and add speed as needed or desired. The motor runs off of 110 volt AC. The spinner automatically spins clockwise, but give the drive band a half twist and the motor now runs counter clockwise for plying. It is just that easy. Navitas has a precision wheel for long, smooth, quiet spin which includes a maintenance free aspect as well.

The flyer is made of red oak as well, with easy to adjust spring clips to make level winding quick and easy. The flyer shaft is aluminum and very attractive against the red oak frame. The orifice of the flyer is 9/16 of an inch in diameter for an easy feed at any angle. A hooked flyer is available instead of the clipped one for an additional cost of $15. Please contact me if you desire a hooked flyer instead.

Heavenly Handspinning's bobbins are very large. Our super bobbins come standard with this exceptional wheel. The bobbin is 3 inches in diameter and has a 6-inch long core and is capable of holding in excess of 8 oz. Each bobbin has 66-nylon oil impregnated bearing so that there is no wear on the flyer shaft. You will receive three combination bobbins. Each bobbin has a ratio of 6:1, 9:1 and 13:1.

Spin wool roving, alpaca, silk or angora - whatever fiber you choose. Knit, crochet and weave the yarn you have made into something special by spinning whatever you specifically need for your personal project - from lace to bulky or a combination of both. Do not let anyone convince you, that you can not spin fine, lace weight yarn on a wheel with Irish tensioning. That is all I spin and a lot of my customers as well. On the other hand I also have many that love to core spin and spin bulky art yarns too. Our wheels do it all and for a price that is awesome. You will not receive best customer service from any other dealer in any where.

Just like all of Heavenly Handspinning's products, Gratia, is handcrafted from select red oak. She has a precision ball bearing wheel for sustained spin. Gratia is very special because she has a single treadle in the middle. You can use either foot when spinning with this one of kind wheel.
